A common question we get is – “what do you do with all the paper you shred?”
The answer is simple: we recycle it!
That’s right, 100% of the paper we shred is recycled.
Your documents, folders, and other types of paper are cut into tiny pieces (too small to be pieced together) in our secure shred trucks. All the pieces get mixed together as they’re shredded.
Trucks returning to our NAID AAA certified secure facility then unload the mixed shredded paper into a conveyor-connected pit.
The shredded paper is then conveyed into the loading area of our baler. A few minutes later, and the paper has been compacted and baled, ready to be sent to a mill to be recycled.
There it’s re-pulped and turned into tissue, writing paper, toilet paper, and variety of other products.
It’s important to keep in mind that not only do we recycle 100% of the paper we bring into our facility, all of it is handled SECURELY at every step of the process.
That security provides you with protection from ID theft, tax fraud, and legal and regulatory liability.
Shredding with OSID is safe, secure, AND good for the environment!
